Larger than life

NPR had a good story on the broadcast this morning about Charlie Wilson.   The former congressman died yesterday at age 76.  He was depicted in the 2007 movie “Charlie Wilson’s War” starring Tom Hanks.  Charlie Wilson

What strikes me most about Charlie Wilson’s story is that his friends describe him as “larger than life”.  I wouldn’t necessarily condone a life of drinking and womanizing, which by all accounts was a part of Mr. Wilson’s life.  But his work life of being a powerful, get-the-job-done kind of guy is something to be respected.

Some might say that Charlie Wilson lived life unapologetically.  The key is to be living a life that doesn’t require apologies. :)

Nevertheless its a good lesson. Live life to the fullest. Learn from your mistakes but don’t dwell on them. Make a difference.
